Thales Ground Transportation Systems (GTS) has a new opportunity for a Senior Labour & Overheads Accountant to join the team in London. This role will be a senior member of the team, working on major rail projects across the UK.

Key Accountabilities

• Produce the monthly Utilisation reports for GTS and carry out analysis on the data as necessary to assist Functional Heads and GTS Exec to understand the detail behind any over / under recovery and suggest any action necessary to help mitigate this
• SAP SME for all labour elements
• Responsible for continuous improvement of the information generated to provide Utilisation and recoveries reporting as well as cost reporting
• Business Partner to 4 main functions these being Engineering, Programme Management, Field Ops and Services
• Month end accruals/ prepayments and corrections to ensure costs of the function are correct
• Produce monthly reporting for each function and attend meetings to review this information
• Provide support where necessary to assist the these functions with understanding Utilisation and Recoveries
• Produce forecast and annual budgets of costs in conjunction with the functional heads for the 4 main functions and pull together overall Overhead forecasts. Challenge any numbers which are not in line with expectations
• Provide reporting to UK Corporate and Thales Group for all reporting of overhead costs and ensure full understanding of any variances to be able to respond to any questions
• Responsible for forecasting over / under recovery as and when required throughout the year
• Responsible for calculating the annual labour rates and updating as necessary throughout the year and also the under / over recovery for annual budget
