Leading international engineering consultancy seeks to secure a Project Controls Engineer to join their close knit and friendly team based in London on a contract basis. If you have a good understanding of Project Commercial Management, Earned Value Management and ideally would have used project controls software such as Deltek Cobra or Prism but experiecne with cost, time, data analysis with in excel - this would be a great opportunity for you.

As Project Controls Engineer you will support project controls activities on a variety of UK based projects. You will also be responsible for:

Assisting in the setting up and maintenance of project controls systems, such as Deltek Cobra
Inputting project controls data and undertaking its relevant analysis
Working with planners/schedulers to assist in defining Work Breakdown Structures, and resource and cost loading programmes in Primavera P6
Working with project commercial managers to ensure cost work breakdown structures, cost collection and resource rates are established and recorded correctly.
Providing an on-going project controls service as part of a commercial and schedule management function. This to include:
o Supplying rates for ongoing projects where required on a monthly basis
o Participating in, and preparing for, rate validations and project audits. Also performing rate reviews.
o Preparing rates for bid teams and adjusting according to decisions made by others. Assisting in escalation calculations.
Providing management reports and analysis including earned value management reports, cashflow forecasts, profitability forecasts and invoice data.
Managing the impact of change on cost forecasts and programme.

To be considered for the contract position of Project Controls Engineer candidates will need to have a good knowledge of project commercial management and earn value management. You will have prior experience using project controls software (Deltek Cobra, Ares Prism,etc) and have also have experience of working design programs with a knowledge of design processes (RIBA, GRIP etc)
