Project Controls Manager in London, London, United Kingdom
1. Purpose of the Job
The Project Controls Manager is responsible for providing leadership in the planning and reporting of project controls within the designated part of the organisation. The individual aligns the project controls to the project requirements, schedule and budgets. They ensure compliance with appropriate codes, standards and regulations to deliver a completed project. They provide a key leadership role acting on behalf of the relevant accountable Director for the department, as well as the Programme Controls Director for the Programme and the organisation as a whole.
2. Principal Accountabilities
Support the business in relation to the following:
* Lead, track and report on delivery project works and planning activities
* Direct the implementation of the delivery project and integrate with associated directorates
* Oversee and provide guidance to the directorate on project controls and matters
* Prepare communications and insights of project delivery based on controls outputs
* Provide functional direction to controls resources deployed on projects
* Work with Programme Controls Heads of Function to implement improvements and sharing of best practice
* Responsible for engagement with deployed controls resources, liaising with PMs to understand resourcing requirements and deployment.
* Work with Head of Project Controls to conduct workforce planning for deployed controls resources
* Work with Accountable Director(s) to use controls insight to drive performance
* Oversight of critical assumptions relating to relevant programme areas, and their upkeep
* Work closely with other Project Controls Managers ( Technical, Operations, E2E, and Programme Integration) to maintain alignment and integration of management information and to share lessons learned.

* Detailed understanding of the delivery requirements and timeline of the Crossrail Programme
