Location - York
Rates - £300 - £400 per day
In Scope of IR35 - (i.e. subject to tax & national insurance contributions taken at source by Capita as the primary agency)
About the role / project:
Network Rail is looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join an existing team, based at their George Stephenson House offices in York, working on Infrastructure Projects Scotland & North East E&P renewals.
You will have experience in the review of design and construction of ideally all, or at least most, of the following installations:
Signalling power distribution
High Voltage
Low voltage (BS7671)
Building Services
Points Heating
Lighting
SCADA
DC Protection
The successful candidate will ensure E&P projects are compliant to relevant standards and legislation and are delivered to programme and cost.
Your experience will include:
Essential
Significant experience in engineering disciplines, ideally with involvement in construction and design projects across multi discipline areas
Technical qualifications to at least HND level or equivalent
Membership of a relevant professional institution
Experience of major contracting
Knowledge of structuring safety cases in support of projects
Knowledge of safety management and quality assurance
Understanding of the arrangements required for the independent assessment of works
Accident investigation experience
Desirable
Chartered status or equivalent in the particular discipline
An appreciation of environmental issues in engineering works.
