Job Title Project Engineer (LU Comms)
Location - London
Contract minimum 6 months

A Railway Telecommunications Contractor is seeking a Project Engineer to join its London based project team. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the leading railway telecoms contractors in the UK.
Part of a team of multi-skilled technical engineers, you will be responsible for all design and commissioning activities of the project including design, handover. You will also provide regular updates to Project managers and ensure all site works are completed on time and to high standards.

Duties will include:
Design co-ordination and completion of works to programme
Production of BoM
Production of engineering activity schedule and provide to Lead Engineer and other discipline engineers to ensure works are planned and completed on time
Produce test documentation to validate the implemented designs.
Prepare and configure systems for FAT testing
Carryout witnessed FAT and site testing
Carryout onsite commissioning
Provide support to site implementation team
Production of MAID/handover documents
Report against programme to relevant project manager
Implement robust processes that aim to eliminate telent incurred re-work costs in all delivery phases
Effective communicator (both written and verbal)

To be considerd for this role you will have experience in project enginereing covering design and commissioning of at least one of the following technologiesin a London Underground project environment:

Station Management Systems
Security CCTV (Analogue and IP)
Customer Information Systems and Displays
Public Address, Voice Alarm and Induction Loops
Passenger Help Points
Data Networks
OPO/TtT CCTV Systems
You will be an effective communicator (both written and verbal) and be able to effectively direct others in the production of design packages and the implementation of these designs in a safe and controlled manner.
