Our client is now looking to grow their existing Project Management team by adding multiple project managers to their Birmingham location to lead the safe delivery of Rail Civils projects in order to achieve cost, time, and quality objectives within corporate guidelines and to develop appropriate delivery and supply strategies and plans for specific projects.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Delivering the projects safely to time, cost and quality, in accordance with the guide to railway investment projects, applicable Railway Group, Network Rail company standards and other specific legislations.
• Providing a professional, first class, consistent and effective project management service to the clients.
• Participating in the development of supply strategies and framework contracts.
• Providing detailed input for compilation of the business plan and production of the possessions plan.
• Controlling project change, risks and contingency within the project life cycle and provide all cost, contingency and programme details
• Providing a safe working environment in the execution of work directly under the post holder’s responsibility, including development of project safety plans
• Assisting the company in discharging its duties under construction, design and management regulations 2007.
• Identifying training needs in safety, technical and management areas for the personnel reporting to the post holder
• Undertaking accident investigations when remitted to by the relevant designated competent person.

The Ideal Candidate:

• PRINCE2, APMP or NEC4 Qualification
• Successful track record of development and design in a transportation rail environment within the context of a professional services contracts.
• You have sound knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and practices appropriate to the service delivery sector such as the British standards, Railway Group standards, Network Rail Line standards.
• You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams.
