We are currently recruiting on behalf of one of the UKs most established Engineering consultancies, who are looking for a Project Manager to join their Highways Team in Lincoln. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager to lead on an exciting scheme worth around £96m.
As the Project Manager for this Highways scheme, you would be expected to lead a site team of around 15 staff to ensure that the construction contract is efficiently and effectively managed, and that the works are constructed in accordance with the requirements of the contract and to the required quality. The chosen Project Manager would be expected to work collaboratively with both the client and contractor, ensuring that the construction phase of the highways project is delivered effectively. It would also be the responsibility of the Project Manager to ensure that commercial matters are properly dealt with, overseeing the entire delivery of the project.
The chosen Project Manager should have a substantial track record of contract administration of medium to large scale, complex highways projects. A good understanding of relevant contract law would also be favourable, as would a sound understanding of the procurement of highways schemes delivered in accordance with Highways England Standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Highways Project Manager to take on a large scale, multi-faceted project alongside a well established client and contractor.
Job Requirements:
- Chartered status of a relevant institution
- NEC3 Accredited ECC Project Manager
- Thorough knowledge of Option C of the NEC3 Engineering and Construction Contract
- Strong leadership and communication skills
