A leading UK Rail Engineering Main Contractor have an outstanding opportunity for an experience, detailed and analytical Project Manager to support and manage the delivery of a wide range of varied multi-disciplinary Rail engineering aspects to a substantial programme of works. This long term contractual opportunity is to be based in the Yorkshire area.

Duties & Responsibilities:

As the multi-discipline Rail Project Manager, you will be the strong all-round technical lead and therefore accountable for pre-empting, identifying and ensuring the quick resolution processes for all technical issues, which could hinder the smooth running of a programme. You will need to effectively manage the creation of credible scoping plans and to accept design documentations whilst assessing what construction and engineering techniques will need to be utilised.

Being the multi-discipline Project Manager for this major scope of Rail infrastructure development work, you will need to conduct close liaison with the client and key stakeholders and produce credible project progress reports and case studies where applicable.

Requirements:

*It is envisaged that the successful multi-discipline Project Manager will have worked within a simpler role with a strong background within Rail related multi-discipline delivery, spanning across P-Way, Signalling and Civils.

You will have a strong interface / integration, multi-discipline appreciation for UK Rail delivery coupled with full PMO and UK Rail technical principles.

*Will be used to managing the effective scoping to planning processes and familiar with overseeing delivery to full hand over and a large scale multi-million £ UK Rail enhancement scheme / programme.

*As an experienced Project Manager you will possess a solid working appreciation within costings and commercial aspect, change management and best resourcing utilisation skills.

*You will possess strong working appreciation and knowledge gained within NWR infrastructure along with strong understanding of related policies and procedures.

*You will be used to confidently communicating with Key-stakeholders and Clients alike and will be used to coordinating Bid and Tenders. You will be a strong communicator at all levels able to present and negotiate with Clients and Key-stakeholders with confidence.
