Project Manager

Location: London

Term: 6 months contract initially

Rate: up to £475 per day, inside IR35

The role will involve:

  • A detailed understanding of scheduling, milestones and understanding of how to manage programme interfaces
  • A detailed understanding of the maintenance organisation, delivery of work and understanding of the systems to develop leading and lagging indicators to support programme development or areas of concern. This includes using PowerBI and Ellipse to develop indicators.
  • The ability to use this understanding of maintenance to provide solutions or reasoning, in response to the challenges that are raised from the maintenance organisation.
  • Extensive experience of using the Ellipse system and how it can be used to assist the team manage work activities.
  • The ability to ensure that the data sets used provide an assessment of where the TWS programme, Routes, DUs and Sections are against a number of measures, is accurate and available.
  • Ensuring consistency across the Region and the accurate ‘one version of the truth’. For example:
  • Establishing and maintaining a consistent method of showing and measuring success with TCOD usage
  • Measuring of ROSE implementation
  • Measuring workbank progress.
  • Ability to be a sounding board for ideas and innovations and how these are likely to be perceived (based on the individual’s maintenance background).
  • Support regionally TWS programme Director and co-ordinate regional steering group

Your experience will include:

  • Degree or equivalent
  • Relevant successful experience in project management within the Rail industry
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Detailed knowledge of safety regulations (particularly CDM)
  • Team leader capable of motivating the team
  • Commercial and financial understanding and knowledge
  • Membership of the Association for Project Management or other professional body
