ATA have a great opportunity for you to be Project Manager overseeing a major rail station refurbishment in the Midlands region. This will test all your Project Manager experience and capabilities – if you enjoy a challenge then this could be role for you.

This is a Rail Project Manager role on a 2-year contract planning and delivering a flagship project through to completion. This is a great opportunity for you if you are passionate about Civil Engineering, Project Managing and leading a project through to completion!

The Client

This Principle Civil Engineering Contactor operates UK wide and is expanding its portfolio to include larger scale projects above the £10m bracket. This is their largest project to date so a great opportunity for you to make your mark! Headed up by an enthusiastic and well respected Rail Director, you will be brought into an environment where you can utilise and enhance your Project Management and rail civils/build experience to plan and deliver a great project.

As lead Civils Project Manager, this role is based in Derby, working closely with the Project Director, Contracts Manager and rail team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for Project Managing all Civil Engineering sections of the project – including: Platform extensions and new builds, Access for All, Canopies.
• Planning all works and liaising with Programme, Planning, Commercial and Operations teams
• Project Manager overseeing civil/build sub-contractors
• Driving delivery of the full project
• Manager of site agents, sub agents and site engineers

The ideal Project Manager will have the following skills and experience:

• HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong contractual background with experience delivering to £10m+ works
• Civil Engineering background – experience on platforms, Access for All (AFA) schemes.
• Site safety qualifications- SMSTS/CSCS
• Proven record of delivering projects through full life cycle, pre-contract experience would be desirable

Rate: £400 - £450 per day
