Project Manager

Position: Project Manager, Rail

Location: Grays, Essex

Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus

We are looking to recruit a Project Manager for a Sub Contractor delivering specialist wall and floor finishes within the Rail sector. The purpose of this role is to ensure the effective delivery of works in a safe manner, to deadline, within budget and to the agreed level of quality.

This successful candidate will be a qualified and experienced Agent working for a Tier 1 contractor within the Rail sector who is looking to step up into Project Management. Working for a smaller sub contractor, this person will benefit from exposure to all elements of a project including commercial and planning.

Duties include:

• Responsible for the business results of the project
• Project organisation and definition and regulation of responsibilities
• Communicate all project requirements to the project team
• Set and agree challenging stretch targets for all team members
• Organize the flow of information between the whole integrated project team members and third parties
• Implement the management system within the project team
• Lead HSQE management
• Evaluate opportunities and risks
• Organise planning management
• Establish procurement deadlines
• Review and revision of contract programme
• Establish works packages
• Cooperate in the awarding of contracts to sub contractors and suppliers
• Contract management and supervision of project progress
• Responsible for project controlling
• Change management process
• Identify and coordinate training requirements
• Assist in staff recruitment.

To do this role you must have:

• Experience working within for a rail / civils contractor
• A background in Engineering (Degree / HNC)
• Be delivery focused
• Energetic / Enthusiastic / lead from the front attitude
