The role
We are looking for a project manager with a background in systesm and ideally with experience in the management of NEC contracts, commercial management, change management and risk management.
The project manager will supervise the development of budgets and schedules, manage performance, report on project progress, and initiates action to assure program/project objectives and schedules are met and work is performed within budget and according to specifications.
As an excellent communicator, the project manager works with the supplier, contractors and stakeholders to resolve problems. A natural leader, the project manager drives high performance across their teams whilst having overall responsibility for Project execution, ensuring that Project is delivered within contract requirements, standards of quality and safety
Qualifications and experience
- Experienced Project Manager with a systems background would be an an advantage, with a minimum of 2 large relevant projects
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management.
- Industry accreditation preferred, such as ICE, CIOB, APM, etc.
- Knowledge of industry/regulatory codes and standards, and design and layout criteria pertinent to the particular discipline.
- Experience in complex stakeholder management and negotiation.
- Working knowledge of basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and business planning software is a requirement.
- Knowledge of all phases of engineering and construction operations relating to project delivery, including design delivery, construction technologies and methodologies, and jobsite management.
- Experience working with, supervising and administering contractors.
- Experienced in administrating the NEC 3 form of contract.
- Knowledge and experience in contract formation, risk analysis, negotiations, and implementation, including change control, documentation management, cost/time trend program.
- Knowledge of cross functional work processes and interface knowledge, especially Project Controls, Supply Chain management, Quality management and the ability to manage the relationships/interfaces with management and functional groups.
- Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills, interpersonal skills, open-minded with an energetic and proactive personal style.
