Interim Project Manager –Close Out

Are you an experienced Rail Project Manager with close-out experience?

My client, a major Infrastructure and construction company, is looking for an Interim Project Manager to help close-out a major Construction programme. They are looking for someone who has extensive experience managing full cycle programme close-out schemes. The successful candidate will build a fully comprehensive close-out plan and maintenance schedule to ensure delivery is compliant with the relevant legislation and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the Close-out team monitoring all close-out activities for Network Rail
• Maintain the Close-out schedule and submit schedule updates to the client every four weeks
• Reporting on progress, issues and concerns to the Business Unit.
• Support Handback Manager to maintain the handback schedule.
• Interface with the Route Asset Manager (RAM) to ensure that they will accept the new assets
• Lead the development of an asset database and asset tagging for handover to the RAM
• Final Accounting and Risk Assessments
• Daily reports to client and Stakeholders.

Requirements:

• 5-10 Years UK Rail Experience on mainline or LU.
• Multi-Discipline Rail background (Ideally exp in Station Build and Maintenance, Civil,
• MEP, Telecoms)
• Network Rail experience
• Experience on major programmes
• Understanding of NR route and maintenance organisations
• Scheduling experience
• Understanding of principals of asset management
• Working with wide range of client and contractor project staff to monitor and drive performance
• Comfortable working with senior staff to develop strategies
• Experience in Stakeholder management to a project director level.
• Excellent written and communication.

Required professional registrations or qualifications:

• Qualification in Project Management: Prince2/MAPM
