Contract
Employer’s Representative, and named individual in the specific contract. The PM will be responsible for the overall delivery of the contract model and fulfilment of the contract obligations.
Formal interface with the Contractor’s Representative under the contract and ensures that the depot construction works, as specified in the Construction Contract are completed to the contract price, general contract requirements, and to the contract programme.
Full responsibility for payments to the Contractor and the management of any contract variations.
Key Accountabilities
Employer’s representative and formal interface with the Contractor’s Representative (and Contractor’s staff) as employed under the contract.
Full contract delivery responsibility to contract price, contract programme and contract requirements.
Certifying payments to the Contractor, as due under the contract and ensuring they are paid correctly and promptly.
Control and management of any contract changes related to contract price, contract terms and conditions, contract scope, engineering and programme.
Maintaining contract records on CEMAR and dealing with contract communications as appropriate using CEMAR
Holding and chairing regular Contract Review Meetings between the Employer and the Contractor and the production of notes of the meetings.
Accepting and certifying documents issued by the Contractor to the Employer
Reporting to client internally of contract progress and any contract related issues
Employer’s Representative for formal interface with the Financier’s Representatives
Employer’s representative for interfaces with associated third parties including Network Rail.
Ensuring that Health and Safety aspects are correctly managed to the Employer’s Health and Safety Management Organisation requirements and the contract requirements
Ensuring that the Contractor meets the requirements of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 in the Contractor’s role as Principle Contractor and Principle Designer.
Experience
Must have extensive experience of project management and contract management.
Qualified with engineering degree (or equivalent) and member of engineering institution
Responsibility for managing the contract to ensure delivery of all contract requirements to programme and cost
Formal interface with the contractor and named in the contract
Ensures the Employers payments are aligned to the contract requirements and authorises contractual payments
Responsible for delivery of works program to the contract price
Manages day to day issues and mitigates programme and cost risk
Assesses and controls contract variations (compensation events)
Experience in working with Network Rail and associated approvals processes desirable
