Are you an experienced project manager with excellent stakeholder management experience and looking to tackle key Station developments head on from inception, while holding full accountability for the success of delivery.

Ford & Stanley - The Rail Recruitment Specialists are looking for a Property Projects Manager to join highly recognised train operator, to plan and design station improvements across the rail network

Location: Derby, UK

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and develop the station improvement programme ensuring compliance with our franchise commitments, managing the delivery of the key projects identified by the business.
  • Oversee and review the implementation programme and identify any potential risks to meeting the franchise commitments
  • Attend Project and Design workshops while reviewing Designs, in order to deliver a robust project
  • Ensure a smooth handover of works to Construction Managers for build phase and hand back into the business.
  • Maintain comprehensive data storage systems for aspects of developments throughout the duration of the project.
  • Produce financial and project updates on a regular and detailed manner in order to show best value whilst sharing this across senior management.
  • Share and implement a sustainability concept across the stations development, liaising with our Environmental specialist as to look to reduce costs across utilities.
  • Ensure that key stakeholders are supportive and informed of project progress

Candidate Requirements:

  • Good communicator with a keen analytical approach and proven management experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of investment and financial procedures
  • Must have the ability to identify and develop opportunities and this ability acquired through extensive experience of a property development or project management role
  • Good knowledge of procurement procedures
  • Ability to consult and negotiate at all levels of management
  • Special awareness and adept at interpreting architectural plans and specifications
  • High standards of general education and ideally with professional qualifications in a building discipline to minimum HNC level
  • A thorough knowledge of construction Health & Safety legislation
  • A sound knowledge of construction and its legislative framework and ideally experience of construction in the railway technical
