Project Manager in Banbury, Banbury, Oxfordshire, England, United Kingdom

Project Manager
Rugby - London

This is the perfect opportunity to join a leading rail contractor as they dominate the vegetation management division, and so are needing a Project Manager to run the framework regionally alongside other projects!

THE COMPANY

My client is part of a £800m turnover group who specialise in transportation, biomass, rail and civil engineering, with this unit focussing on delivering significant rail and civil engineering projects nation-wide. Having won several frameworks across the UK, this subsidiary currently sits at £12m turnover per year, having only set up the division just over two years ago.

Due to securing new contracts as well as increasing work on their current framework, they are seeking a Project Manager to run their devegetation works between Rugby and Euston!

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

You’re the Project Manager I’m looking for if you have significant devegetation experience in the rail industry and are already at PM level. While this may come across as quite niche (and demanding!) it is important for my client to have someone who can quickly slot into the role and hit the ground running, as it is imperative they deliver the work as soon as the project kicks off imminently.

Whilst experience is important, culture fit is also a key factor for them. As they have ambitions to continue to grow and pick up more work, you will need to be someone with the drive and motivation to contribute to the business’ plans. Is this person you?

ABOUT THE JOB

As an experienced Project Manager, you will know that you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the projects whilst overseeing the programming, costs, delivery of the project and most importantly, managing the client. You will have support from your team to deliver the work however with these projects they require a very hands-on approach to ensure the work is delivered effectively, efficiently, and within timescale and budget.

You’ll be overseeing multiple sites as part of a framework and also individual projects so to be successful in this role, you must be able to spin many plates and juggle a heavy workload – are you up for the challenge?

REQUIREMENTS

To be considered for this role, you will need to be a Project Manager with significant devegetation experience within the rail sector.

THE PACKAGE

For the A-grade candidate, my client is offering a basic salary of £40k - £45k, plus car or car allowance, holidays, pension and healthcare.
