Project Manager in London, London, Greater London, England, United Kingdom

Project Manager
London

Are you a Project Manager in rail looking for an exciting new project? This top 10 supplier to Network Rail are looking for someone to lead the team on an enabling works package, as part of a £200m scheme in Central London!

THE COMPANY

Our client is dominant in the rail infrastructure market, having operated on multi-disciplinary projects within this sector for over 20 years, and are now venturing into new engineering markets. Their outstanding quality of project delivery has enabled them to become a contractor of choice, thriving in what could be perceived as a ‘quiet’ rail market in recent years.

Due to a significant project taking place in Central London, they are seeking a Project Manager to join the team and take the reins!

IDEAL CANDIDATE

You’re the Project Manager I’m looking for if you have experience working on rail civils projects at PM level and have an excellent attitude to project delivery and leading a team. It is imperative that you have excellent communication skills, supported by a wealth of rail industry knowledge and can keep a team on-site motivated to work and complete the project to the best of your ability.

This is a highly autonomous role, so you must be confident in your abilities to successfully leading a project and have a proven track record of managing the client. With the business having a major growth strategy in place for the South-East region, you will need to be someone who looks to go above and beyond to contribute to the team, whilst also opening up opportunities to continue to dominate the market. Is this person you?

ABOUT THE JOB

As an experienced Project Manager, you will already know the ins and outs of the day-to-day function of the job – what makes this role stand out is the type of project you will be leading. The initial package of works includes enabling works and structures for a £200m station redevelopment scheme in London which is due to run until late 2019. With CP6 looming and independent project tenders flying out the door, there’ll be plenty for you to get stuck in to upon completion of your first project!

This is a highly autonomous role as you will solely be responsible for delivering these projects. My client is investing heavily in the South-Eastern region so this is a fantastic opportunity to make your footprint in within an industry leading company and climb the ladder with your proven successes!

REQUIREMENTS

To be considered for this role, you must have experience at Project Manager level working on civil engineering projects, ideally within the rail sector. You will also need to have a HNC/HND/Degree in civil engineering, although this may be negotiable for the right candidate.

PACKAGE

My client is offering the right candidate a competitive basic salary of £50k - £57k depending on your experience, a company car or car allowance, plus a fantastic benefits package on top!
