Project Manager in United Kingdom
Our client is one of the leading consultancy providers to the Infrastructure sector and as a result of new awards, seeks Project Managers X3 from 3 years’ experience to Senior Level, to be based one of their Midlands offices. The successful candidates salary will depend on experience and the range is from £35,000-£55,000 + excellent benefits.
You will be working on major flagship projects within the Rail and Utility sectors.
As an experienced Project Manager you will have the ability to operate effectively within a co-located environment with the Client’s, Consultant’s and Contractor’s project delivery teams. In the role you will:
- Deliver assigned projects to meet client requirements and achieve business outcomes
- Provide direction and supervision to assigned Project Managers and supporting staff, in accomplishing agreed project objectives
- Identify and manage issues, risks and interfaces between assigned projects and other interfacing activities
- Plan and manage procurement of resources for effective and efficient use across multiple projects
- Analyse performance, implementation, and commercial data; make decisions where appropriate, or provide recommendations
- To drive exceptional delivery, health & safety, commercial, risk management and quality performance on infrastructure projects throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage Projects in the £1m to £100m range as a standalone project or as part of major programmes of work.
Training and Experience:
- The ideal candidates are likely to be degree qualified in a construction or engineering related discipline
- Candidates should possess formal project management qualifications, or should be working towards them
- Experience of project delivery through all stages of the lifecycle
- Experience of NEC forms of contract will be a distinct advantage
- Experience of working in the Rail or Highways sector is essential.
- Excellent communication skills with Clients and design team members.
