Project Manager in Liverpool, Northwest, United Kingdom
My client, a Transport organisation, is looking for an Interim Project Manager to help develop a robust and efficient project management structure that can be utilised by the businesses multiple work streams.
The primary focus for the business is to deliver a new brand new fleet for the network and make sure it offers improved efficiency for the general public. They are looking for someone who has experience managing and developing rail project management processes. Due to the complexity and large-scale Change element to the role, they need someone that has experience in developing structure and governance, project plans and scopes, contracts and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop programme structure and governance plans
- Review and develop current project plans
- Manage and review sub-contractors performance
- Manage communication and engagement at all stakeholder levels.
- Chair internal and external meetings
- Define and own the project budget control process
Key Skills:
- Extensive experience managing complex projects, preferably
- Extensive experience in the Rail industry, ideally within a major Change environment
- Excellent stakeholder and communication skills
- The ability to hit the ground running and start adding value from Day 1 will be essential
