Ford and Stanley Interim- The Rail Recruitment Experts are recruiting on behalf of a well-established British Standards Board who are seeking an Interim Project Manager.
The Opportunity
This role will involve taking on and managing a number of projects, initially in the research field, but with the potential for managing projects in other areas such as standards, IM&T and safety. Additional responsibilities will include managing the Consultation Register while the person responsible is on leave. Other tasks may be requested where there are gaps caused by absences. The role will report to a senior project manager or programme manager.
Location: London (central).
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage a range of research projects throughout the lifecycle of the project, in accordance with policies, processes and procedures, and project management principles
- Working closely with the project and R&D teams (the value of the projects is typically between £30k and £150k)
- Preparing and maintaining schedules in Microsoft Project Online, controlling forecast and actual costs against budgets, presenting project documentation as required for review and approval at stage gates, and monitoring actual project progress against plan for agreed project performance indicators
Essentials
* 3-5 years experience Project Managing in a similar field
- Full understanding of Microsoft Project Online is essential
* Experience of supporting projects of a value of around £100k or managing the delivery of workstreams within projects
* Good presentation, facilitation and chairing skills for stakeholder meetings (both internal and external)
Desirable
- Experience managing research projects into sustainability
- Engineering background
- Science graduate preffered
