POSITION OVERVIEW

Lead requirements management, including verification and validation, for allocated Project Group Support compliance with The Clients requirements management and V&V processes

Promote quality and consistency of requirements and V&V evidence for allocated projects

Cascade latest approaches and changes in the management plans for requirements and V&V to other members of the project Engineering & Design team

Produce I-RRD, I-DRRD, and V&V documentation in line with The Clients processes

Facilitate population and assurance of V&V requirements compliance matrices

Facilitate project level requirements change impact assessment, and ensure that changes in baselines are controlled through Change Panel via the Alliance Wide Requirements

Project Wide Requirements

Lead Project Alliance Engineering Managers (and teams) Other Alliance Senior Engineers (as defined teams in EMP)

CRITICAL TASKS

- Lead requirements management for the allocated Project Group to ensure it is effective

- Ensure changes to requirements and V&V management are communicated and understood in the allocated project group

- Ensure the clients requirements management and V&V processes are adhered to

- Ensure consistency and quality of requirements and V&V evidence across allocated projects

- Support update of the clients requirements baseline I Support impact assessment of I-CRD level requirements changes across allocated projects

- Produce and maintain I-RRD I-DRRD and V&V documentation in line with the clients management processes in a timely manner to support project design and implementation

- Facilitate population and assurance of V&V requirements compliance matrices in a timely manner to support project design and implementation

- Raise up identified requirements non-compliance in a timely manner to support early resolution and inform decision making I Support the impact assessments for proposed changes to I-RRD and I-DRRD level requirements changes

Ensure that changes in 'Requirements' for allocated projects are supported by Section Proposals or suitable Change Requests I Support scheduling of key RM and V&V activities with the CEM and DPE to secure milestones for iELC Phase Gates GRIP Stage gates and Entry into Service

Support improvement efforts and initiatives for requirements management and V&V activities

Configuration of DOORS to facilitate implementation of the clients RM and V&V processes

KEY SKILLS ESSENTIAL/DESIRABLE

Essential Experience in requirements management and V&V functions

Experience of rail infrastructure projects

Experience in using IBM Rational DOORS application for requirements management

Awareness of change control process Desirable Understanding of other key railway project requirements documentation e.g. Operational Requirements Specifications, etc Professional registration with appropriate institution
