Our clients a leading main contractor to the UK Rail infrastructure delivery sectors have a superb opportunity for an experienced Rail Civils bias Project Manager to join this established contractor who is currently engaged upon a substantial Rail related installation and upgrade programme, based in Berkshire.

Role & Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Project Programme Manager, you the Project Manager will be accountable for providing technical assistance and delivering the civils elements of the contract in line with the projects design to delivery requirements, consisting of UTX s, Signalling bases, Cable Trough s, Trial Holes and related Civil Structures and Line Side Civils.

You will be involved in a project from requirements planning stages through to completion and hand over. As the Rail Civils Project Manager on this project, you will be working within the realms of design input and integration, managing input from internal and external engineers, evaluation and selection of suitable solutions to technical civil engineering issues, delivery of work packages and safety on site.

You will be required to forge strong professional relationships with colleagues, clients and their representatives and ensure delivery to time, quality, cost and safety criteria.

Requirements:

It is envisaged that successful Rail Civils Project Manager will be educated to a minimum of HNC within Civil Engineering / Rail Engineering, together with demonstrable experience in the construction of Rail civil engineering schemes and Signalling schemes within the UK Rail industry and possess a sound knowledge of Network Rail GRIP processes and procedures.

As Project Manager, your experience should include the construction of UTX s, Cable Troughs, Signal and OLE bases and varied civils installation on UK Rail projects, assisting with the production of tenders, resolving all technical issues on site, integrating design, Health and Safety procedures, production of Method Statements and Works Package Plans, close liaison with other disciplines including Power, P-Way Signalling, Telecoms and Systems.

You will be able to act on your own initiative, be a clear and concise communicator, customer focussed with the ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
