Senior Project Engineer (Track)
London / Remote Working - until Autumn when required on sites in East Anglia.
£600 /UMB (IN-SCOPE of IR35)
Contract Length: 6 months

The Senior Project Engineer will lead and manage the use of appropriate engineering standards in relation to design and construction, on all projects within the national programme so they comply with legislation and company standards and monitor whether suitably qualified and experienced staff are employed to control engineering aspects of all projects within the functional discipline.
Key responsibilities:
- Implementing systems and procedures to deliver a cost effective, high quality and safe approach to design, construction, commissioning and other technical activities.
- fulfilling Designated Project Engineer duties as required
- Review all relevant legislation and liaise with relevant governmental departments.
- Monitor the competence of all Project Engineers working on projects within the functional discipline
- Apply relevant techniques and procedures of quantified and qualitative risk assessment and HAZOP analysis to all projects and check whether the environmental aspects of all projects are managed in accordance the organisations Environmental Policy.
- Ensure projects are monitored for compliance and advise project and programme management
- Undertake reviews of design and construction activities.
- Arrange audits of contractors to monitor whether safety and quality of design, construction testing and commissioning and management systems are adequate.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Relevant HND / HNC / Bachelor's degree academic qualifications or equivalent and significant relevant experience.
- Track construction experience on large, complex projects.
- PTS
- IOSH safety qualification (or equivalent).
- Knowledge and understanding of Network Rail Track standards
