Job Description:
* A fantastic opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join our Management Team reporting to the Consortium Lead within a programme of works to deliver a major infrastructure project.
* We are an established team having delivered over 30 projects to date and we are looking for an individual to join the team who can make an immediate impact with both the project delivery team and client, taking ownership of a further tranche of sub-projects.
* As a Senior Project Manager you will have responsibility for successful Commercial and Operational outcomes of projects undertaken in a process driven environment with a smart client and involving a mix of civil and technology scope.
* We are looking for individuals who can demonstrate the ability to lead a project team, manage complex stakeholder relationships and deal with issues effectively and within the project in a complex project environment.
The Challenge
* As a Senior Project Manager in the IPW Programme Portfolio you may be responsible for both directly delivering projects and managing one or more Project Managers. Office base will be Frimley in surrey with travel to a number of sites in the Midlands and South of England.
* You will be delivering in a highly regulated and hazardous environment where stakeholder and process management are critical success factors in delivery.
* We are looking for Project Managers capable of delivering a systems project in collaboration with a civil partner.
* You will be responsible for the P&L of a project or projects and management of safety, scope, cost , quality and time working in a matrix with a design team and Project Management Office.
* The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring the timely and safe handover of the project and for demonstrating progress by maintaining Operational Review reports including Progress, Earned Value, Safety KPI's, Cost to Complete, Change, Risk and Opportunity, Financial and Procurement.
* The Senior Project Manager will lead the resolution of issues with the Employer's project management team.
* Previous experience of working in a systems environment within the energy or utilities sector may be an advantage.
The Senior Project Manager (You)
* Demonstrable experience of having direct accountability for the delivery of a portfolio of Projects over £1M in value and a range between £1M and £4M.
* Either formal Project Management qualification APM/Equivalent or a clear career progression demonstrating Project Management competence.
* Ability to lead and motivate a team across a collaborative consortium and in a matrix management structure.
* Experience in the delivery of Control, ELV or Electrical systems in the energy / utilities / construction sector or similar is essential.
* Commercial awareness and the ability to contribute to the resolution of commercial and contractual issues.
* Experience and a willingness to be the go to person for the client, and consortium in resolving issues.
* Experience of reporting progress and status of projects to business/programme board

Candidates must be a Senior Project Manager and have operational experience in delivering construction or electrical projects within the infrastructure sector or programmes with a mix of civil and technology scope such as smart motorways. Ideally with experience of being in front of the customer dealing with issues, managing multiple stakeholders and a complex delivery process with the ability to step back and look more strategically at measures needed to resource and safeguard the programme.
