The Role:

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Key senior interface with Network Rail, Clients and projects stakeholder with an eye for business development.
• Identify new opportunities to tender and create plan for tender in line with company's commercial strategies.
• Develop and lead winning work process and appoint suitable bid management resources.
• Develop strategic supply chain relationships necessary to grow the business unit and protect net margins.
• Manage the performance of all staff assigned to you in accordance with legislation and company procedures.
• Liaise with the commercial management teams when necessary
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on time to budget while driving project delivery matrices
• Ensure all works carried out comply with current H&S and environmental legislation
• Provide technical leadership through the work programme

Required Experience

• MUST have permenant way rail experience
• MUST have main contractor experience and delivered Rail projects £5million+
• Strong client interfacing and management experience
• Well-developed negotiating skills based upon good technical and commercial understanding of contracts forms used in the Rail sector
• Well-developed presentation and communication skills
• Intellectually strong in terms of understanding technical concepts
• Clear and visible leadership, with capacity to absorb responsibility and accountability whilst leading a business unit.
