Job Title Senior Project Manager (Rail projects)

A Railway Systems Contractor is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join its Midlands based team. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the leading railway technology contractors in the UK.

As a Rail Systems Senior Project Manager you will be mainly head office based but will be required to travel to client meetings and site when required. You will ensure project delivery to the company and railway standards within specified timescales, and to budget, as well as to provide day to day management and direction and support to the rail business team and become an integral part of the rail management team.

You will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are delivered to meet quality standards against specific timescales, you ll have a history of delivering projects to budget and maximising the profitability, you ll play a key role in supporting the bid team with new tenders. Manage sub-contractors and selection of sub-contractors, as well as being responsible for managing and promoting the Health and Safety of all site based activities within your managed projects in-line with HSQE client contractual agreements.

To be considered for this role you will have previous operations/project management experience in the railway environment. Previous experience in rail telecoms, rail SCADA, rail electrical systems operations or project management. You must also hold IOSH managing safely, Sentinel PTS, Prince 2 or APM qualified, strong understanding of railway processes and procedures in a mainline rail environment.
