About the role / project:
Senior IT Project Manager required to assist in a large-scale data migration project. The project is reviewing and enhancing a legacy traffic management system that is used to deliver real time data to both internal and external customers.

Your experience will include:
Essential
- Significant project management experience of successful large scale IT projects - circa £5m and teams of 30+.
- Successful track record in managing the delivery of programmes or portfolios of IT or Business Change projects with associated benefits realisation.
- Solid experience in the use of project planning tools and critical path management at the Programme level.
- Proven track record in managing the delivery of IT solutions via third party suppliers, including projects with multiple third parties and multiple systems integrators
- Knowledge and experience of applying a range of delivery, development, and software engineering life cycles, e.g. waterfall, RAD, JAD, DSDM, Agile
- Formal Programme/Project Management qualifications (e.g. APM - Certified Project Manager, Managing Successful Programmes, Prince 2) or a degree in a computer related discipline.
- Strong IT technical skills, and knowledge of Group Business Services processes in World Class organisations
- Very strong financial management skills
- Proven ability in commercial and contractual issues, and resolving issues amicably and without damage to the project critical path or funding constraints
- Ability to drive value from Suppliers
- Experience of leading, managing, motivating and developing employees.
