Their outstanding quality of project delivery has enabled them to become a contractor of choice, thriving in what could be perceived as a ‘quiet’ rail market in recent years.

Due to expansion in the South West territory, they are now seeking an established Project Manager join the business to run the region – is this person you?

About the Job

This is an outstanding opportunity to make your mark as a Senior Project Manager and demonstrate your skills and capabilities of overseeing multiple work streams. The nature of the work is largely rail minor works, however you will also get involved with tendered projects as well.

As the Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for projects at all stages from pre-qualifying and tendering through to project completion whilst ensuring successful contract and project delivery in the South West region. You will be required to build positive relationships with all project stakeholders working closely with the clients and site teams to ensure health and safety, quality and overall project programmes are achieved.

The Ideal candidate

To make this role your own, ideally you will have had exposure to rail minor work framework(s) and projects such as stations refurbishments, platforms, embankments etc. You will thrive in this role if you are well versed in Project Management from tendering through to project delivery and completion.

The Requirements

You’re the Senior Project Manager I’m looking for if you hold a minimum HNC in Civil Engineering, supported by a career within the railway industry (civils) and ideally a member of ICE.

Remuneration

For the top-notch candidate, my client is offering a basic salary up to £65k, with the top end being for someone who ticks all the boxes coming from a like-for-like role. They also offer a generous package including car or car allowance, pension, holidays and other benefits.
