We are working with a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy that now has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join their Rail team in Birmingham.

You will be responsible for ensuring that Project Execution Plans are prepared and adhered to throughout the project life cycle and liaise with Commercial and Planning teams to provide appropriate support to the BID/project.

Principal responsibilities:

• Ensuring you schedule plan, forecast, and manage all the technical activities to ensure project accuracy, quality, safety and compliance from bid stage to completion.
• Lead, mentor and line manage the Project Engineers and Assistant Project Engineers allocated to you.
• Hold responsibility for the successful delivery of projects, leading and managing the multi-disciplinary design teams.
• Work winning opportunities and the chance to strengthen existing/forge new Client Relationships and assist business development initiatives.

Key skills/experience:

• Rail industry experience (multi-disciplinary ideally)
• Senior Project Manager experience.
• A recognised expert in chosen technical field
• Sound market/commercial knowledge
• Sound management techniques with the ability to apply these through all project phases
• Able to identify links and integrate with the business
• Excellent presentation skills
