Information:
All information required to successfully carry out the duties associated with the position
Main goals:
- Act as a RAMS Project lead for UK contracts, working closely with the RAMS team in Switzerland
- Apply and establish consistent RAM/LCC processes and models over the entire product life cycle across UK projects
- Extend and coordinate maintenance concepts with fleet management and product development
Main tasks
Personnel
- Project lead maintenance analysis within each contract
- Preparation of risk, fault tree, reliability and availability analysis of the relevant fleet
- Support definition of maintenance infrastructure and personnel requirements for projects
- Support and implement RAM/LCC requirements in UK projects
- Ensure the feedback of information from the project to Engineering and the product improvement process
- Consideration and implementation of customer specifications where required
- Draw up specifications and coordinate with suppliers, in conjunction with other support functions e.g. procurement
Organisational
- Work closely with Stakeholders and customers to ensure acceptance
- Support bid teams with UK knowledge in relation to life cycle costs and RAMS indicator of Stadler's vehicles
Essential:
- Degree level qualification (or equivalent) in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering
- Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience in UK Rail, Maintenance and RAM/LCC
- Demonstrated experience in project management; certified project leader desirable
- Analytical thinking and a high level of comprehension in complex processes
- Clear communicator and ability to work in a multi-national organisation
- Excellent Microsoft package knowledge including high experience of working with Excel
- Ability to build strong working relationships with customers and stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and balance highly demanding projects and deadlines
- Flexibility to travel nationally and overseas to other Stadler sites on a regular basis including an initial training programme spent in Switzerland
Desirable:
- Understanding of German (written and spoken) would be an advantage
- Driving licence
