Our client currently has requirements for a number of experienced Systems/Requirements Project Engineer’s for their large rail project from Central London for an initial 6 month contract.

• 1 x Project Engineer (Requirements/Interfaces) - ECTS/Conventional Signalling/DOORS
• 1 x Project Engineer (Systems/Performance) – London/York

An overview of the general responsibilities include:

Reporting to the Systems Engineering Manager the main purpose of the role is to deliver the Systems Engineering elements of Projects to time, to the required quality, to budget and health and safety targets.

• Understanding of how requirements should be specified, managed and verified.
• Communicating with team members to ensure that they understand, and become engaged with, the project, brief and client requirements
• An understanding of the commercial aspects of the project (the impact on the late delivery of information, models, schedules)
• Communicating effectively with all stakeholders to ensure that all parties are kept informed on all relevant matters impacting and influencing projects
• Helping in the assessment, selection and management of suppliers, sub-consultants and contractors associated with Systems Engineering elements of the projects
• Ensuring that completed Systems Engineering and documentation work is reviewed for compliance against project requirements
• D&B experience

Skills/Experience required

• Good understanding railway engineering disciplines
• Good communications skills with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders within a project environment
• Competent in Requirements Management, and Requirements Management Tools preferably IBM DOORS
