Assurance Engineer in City of London, London, United Kingdom
Randstad CPE is currently recruiting for an Assurance Engineer to assist and work alongside an existing Assurance Electrical Engineer, based in Central London for a tier 1 main contractor.
Please note this is a freelance vacancy for up to 12 months.
Your role will be to manage, collate, index, conduct quality checks, compilation of assurance certification and associated documentation for MEP inspection and surveillance, works package assurance outputs from commencement of the construction phase to Handover to MEP Test and Commissioning Function supporting the delivery of the project to time, cost and quality criteria.
Role & responsibilities
Development of the Assurance Project Folder Structure for MEPH for use during Handover to Test and Commissioning Function
- Develop and map a process for the Management, Control, Identification, Traceability, Compilation, Correlation of MEP Technical Assurance Dossiers.
- Under the Assurance (Interface) Manager direction, develop and produce the technical assurance documentation incoming, its identification, collation of assurance evidence for inclusion into the handover dossiers for each works package from start to finish using the COMLOTS and IRN process and the contractor process requirements.
- Assist and input with the management and control of documentation library Master Dossier Listing and Assurance Tracker status log
- Set up hard copy dossiers and using and apply of pre-defined dossier information spines as directed
- Review of ITP's and associated documentation generated from site for inclusion in Deliverable Records Packs
- Review of IRF (Inspection Request Form) documentation prior to issue to Client.
- Assist the Assurance Manager (Interface) with the development, install and implementation of certification into a system for receiving, collating, indexing, filing and lock downs.
- Assist with inputs (as directed) on the development of the Test and Commissioning metrics tracker(s)for technical assurance documentation status
- Assist on maintaining the tracker(s) board with up to date on the spot information concerning Assurance / certification dossiers
- Direct reporting to the MEP QA Manager
- Functional reporting on day to day basis to Assurance Manager (Interface Manager)
- Attend periodic team meetings
- Assist Period ending report detailing status of completed inward documentation submissions
- Liaise with the contractor's MEP QA/QC personnel concerning reporting and status of outstanding assurance certification (Outputs from IRFs and Sub contractors assurance)
- Be aware of the major project risks and work towards minimising and mitigating them.
- Identify any improvements concerning the system processes for QA to the reporting Managers
- Review Method / Risk / Health and Safety statements.
Candidate requirements
- Degree in relevant discipline
- Crossrail experience
- An eye for detail
- Immediately available / up to a 1 week notice period
