Quality Control Engineer
Permanent Role

JOB DESCRIPTION
Working for a leading engineering manufacturing company you will develop, implement, evaluate and continually improve the company's Quality Management System, processes and products to meet internal and external requirements both within company and at suppliers.
PERSON REQUIREMENTS
Ideally you will have previous QC experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment. This role would suit candidates that are recent graduates with some industry experience in quality and equally would suit experienced professionals within quality inspection, control or QMS administration that possess internal training or qualifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* To carry out internal audits and initiate corrective and preventive actions.
* To perform product investigations communicating both with customers and suppliers and introduce quality improvements where necessary.
* To gather data on product performance and carry out analysis therein.
* To perform First Article Inspections both internally and at suppliers.
* To inspect piece parts and finished goods prior to delivery.
* To carry out special projects where required.
* Creating and maintaining the Company's Quality Standards; develop, implement and maintain the Company's quality documentation, such as quality procedures, reports etc.
* Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the products and the environment through training and work instructions.
* Ensure control plans and associated documentation are implemented effectively and maintained.
* Have the ability to communicate effectively with both customers and suppliers.
* Be able to write and present both technical reports and statistical presentations to senior management.
* Have a confident and analytical approach to daily routine activities, with the ability to change priorities where necessary.
* Have a full driving license and passport with the flexibility to travel both within the UK and abroad where required.
* Candidates must demonstrate a strong desire to undertake further training where necessary.

(e.g., root cause analysis, Pareto charts & box and whiskers charts).
4.Very good understanding of ISO 9001 & IRIS standards.

9.Ability to prioritise workload.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Ideally minimum of HNC (level 4 qualification) in Engineering, Manufacturing or Quality related field and/or ISO 9001 Lead Audit
Qualification
Bachelor's degree in engineering or Quality related field is beneficial.
Knowledge of ISO 9001
Knowledge of International Rail Industry Standards (IRIS) would be highly advantageous.

Knowledge of PPAP & SOP's processes.
