Job title: Rolling Stock Quality Engineer

Person Profile

We are looking for an experienced rolling stock engineer to take on a quality control position across busy rail depots. You will ensure that engineering standards are met by the engineering teams.

You will carry out Vocational Competency assessments as and when required within the engineering workforce.

You will manage continual improvements for quality processes and create risk assessment documentation.

You will investigate any incidents and look to find a root cause and implement any corrective/preventative actions.

You will manage KPIs for quality and fleet safety, acquiring and analysing the relevant data to provide visibility in reports to engineering management.

You will advise the engineering team on quality control, error reduction and any human error factors. You will highlight any concerns relating to performance or areas for potential improvement.

You will ensure that all engineers comply with the Engineering Change Process.

Essential

*Minimum of a Level 3 within any engineering discipline
*Previous Rolling Stock Engineering experience within a supervisory or analytical role - e.g. QA/QC Engineering, Team Leader, Support Engineering, Lead Technician / High level Technician, Trainer / Assessor etc
*Good IT skills including Microsoft Office

*Experience with quality management systems or ISO 9001 audits
*Assessment qualifications - e.g. A1
*Understanding of CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems) e.g. Equinox, Nexala, Maximo
