As Safety Assurance Expert you will be required to follow up, monitor and support the Safety Assurance activities of the D&B Contractors as well as PMCs to ensure that the projects adhere to the AAPP schedule and obtain all Safety Review Panel (SRP) acceptances as planned

Responsibilities

• Attending HAZID/HAZOP workshops to assess hazards, causes and level of risk.
• Critically reviewing safety deliverables such as Hazard Reports, SIL Reports, Safety Cases, and Safety Plan etc.
• Assisting PMC & D&B with safety analysis such as QRA, SIL Analysis etc.
• Providing guidance to PMC and D&B on Safety Engineering activities as described by Common Safety Methods and EN50126, EN50128, EN50129 and EN61508
• Sitting on the Hazard Reviewing Panel to review and endorse D&B‘s hazards, causes and level of risk.
• Assessing the impact on Safety due to change in requirements via RFC.
• Liaising with Independent Safety Assessor to address key concerns on the project.

Requirements

• BEng/BSc in a relevant Engineering discipline
• Proven experience in similar Safety discipline with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
• A good working background of Rail Industry from developed Countries is essential, min 10 years.
• Good knowledge of Common Safety Methods and EN50126, EN50128, EN50129 and EN61508 is essential.
• Knowledge of software (safety critical systems related) would be a distinct advantage
• Experience in performing detailed hazard analyses (e.g. Preliminary Hazard Analysis, Subsystem Hazard Analyses, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis)
