Job title: U & A Assurance Co-ordinator - HS2 Works
Type: contract - 12 months
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £Negotiable on experience
Role
- Work with the Undertaking and Assurance (U&A) Sector Coordinator to manage U&A commitment compliance for one of the 3 EWC Central sectors.
- Manage the documentation and evidence for U&A compliance for one of the 3 EWC Central sectors.
- Assist in the development of the U&A evidence Database.
- Monitor and track U&A approvals process.
- Support the Works Package Managers and supply chain to embed the U&A's into their works and provide evidence of compliance.
- Identifying the requirements from the U&A's that are applicable to design and construction activities.
- Assist in the development compliance plans for each U&A, suitable for each package that ensure all aspects of design and construction activities will meet with the U&A
- Develop and maintain relationships with HS2 and Supply Chain.
- Provide support to U&A/Consents Team Managers and Work Package Managers.
- Assist the U&A Coordinator to identify Undertakings and Assurances for their scope of works, as well as supporting on associated Consent requirements.
- Map Stakeholder Interfaces.
- Implement early engagement with U&A owners to ensure commitments can be met and complied with.
- Create opportunities to make efficiencies and deliver innovation in the consenting process.
- Assist tracking of U&A's to ensure they are discharged to plan, and ensure the process for dealing with breaches and potential breaches is followed as appropriate.
- Investigate and provide information for non-compliance
- Carry out weekly reporting highlighting risk, and update progress of U&A's process.
Essential Requirements
- Educated to degree level, ideally with 2 years post qualification experience, some of which should have been gained working in a similar sector
- Techniques and issues involved in the planning and construction of major infrastructure projects including; Railway and Construction industry, Legal, Town Planning, Highway, Environmental or Archaeological considerations
- Excellent communication, personal planning and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of tools, with key focus on Microsoft Excel.
