Working with a market leading civil engineering contractor I am currently recruiting for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead their commercial team out of their regional office in Somerset. They have an enviable reputation within their sector and are a national award winner with their primary client.

The main function of the Managing Quantity Surveyor role is to ensure the commercial team have the management and support they require to deliver quality commercial support to the project teams delivering a portfolio of different projects. This will include providing value from successful negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors as well as highly accurate forecasting and monthly CVR's.

The successful candidate for this Managing Quantity Surveyor position will have a proven history of managing a team of quantity surveyors ideally within a civil engineering contracting environment, with the ability to offer support and advice on complex commercial matters while developing the skills of their team through the passing on of knowledge and experience. There is an excellent opportunity for future progression in the role to a Commercial Management position in the near future for the right candidate.

Salary and package available for this role is in the region of £50000 to £60000 per annum with a company car or car allowance, company pension, family health cover and much more included.
