Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications

For this role you must possess the following;

• Prior experience within the construction industry working for a main contractor for a minimum of 8 years.
• Previous experience working with RC Framework
• Knowledge of new build Landscaping projects of £10m+.
• A good communicator, able to deal with a range of people, tasks and obligations.
• Well organised, self starter, able to implement procedures and effectively manage all aspects of the works.
• Commercial knowledge and ability to negotiate terms with a range of parties.

The Role

As the Quantity Surveyor on this project you'll assist in establishing the client's requirements alongside performing risk, value and cost management on a £10m+ development. You will play an integral role to a team to deliver state of the art project.

Duties

• Submission of interim payment applications
• Preparation of monthly cost and value reconciliation reports / Project cost control
• Assisting with all commercial aspects of allocated projects
• Preparation and submission of interim valuations
• Manage and value variations
• Attend meetings for the agreement of final accounts
• Post contract liaison with clients
• Sub-contract negotiation and letting
• Joint responsibility of managing contract costs including payments to sub-contractors
• Preparation of monthly cost and value reconciliation reports
• Assist with the management of contractual documentation and letters / Understanding of sub-contracts
• Placing sub-contract orders
