Fire Compartmentation Surveyor in City of London, London, United Kingdom
PSR Solutions are currently working on an exciting opportunity for a Fire Compartmentation Surveyor / Specialist. As part of the role you will be supporting the professional services team in respect providing specialist fire safety and compartmentation surveys on specific projects for a diverse range of clients, providing fire specialist consulting in the built environment.
The role will require you to undertake and create fire compartmentation surveys (including fire door auditing and fire stopping considerations) for clients within the built environment and development (offices, shopping centres, retail, business park offices, high rise, residential and property development environment).
The right person will require the following skills, qualifications and experience:
- Extensive experience undertaking and completing fire compartmentation surveys (including fire door auditing and fire stopping considerations) across a range of built environments and developments.
- Extensive understanding of construction techniques, compartmentation and separation across a range of built environments and developments within the framework of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (and other fire related legislation); the applicable Building Regulations relating to Fie Safety and current/applicable British Standards such as BS9999.
- Strong work ethic, creative problem solving and interpersonal skills, research and report writing abilities and good knowledge of the regulations
- Demonstrated successful track record all the above key responsibilities
- FPA (or similar) qualifications regarding Compartmentation and Fire Stopping (essential)
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and business prioritisation with ease.

- Surveying qualifications and experience within the built environment
- Experience of using endoscope technologies
This position will mainly be based in (and around) London, however will required national (and at times international) travel from time to time, so it is essential that the successful incumbent is available and willing to accommodate this.
