Key Experience

• Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying or relevant qualification and experience.
• Previous civil engineering, groundwork or infrastructure experience (build project experience an advantage but not essential).
• Working on projects from pricing through to final accounts.
• Knowledge and experience to measure for: either drainage, concrete works, landscaping, general civils packages.
• Previous Main Contracting and / or Sub Contractor experience.

The Role

Our client is currently recruiting for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to work on Central London New Build, Commercial and Mixed Use projects.

Reporting into the Commercial Manager and taking responsibility for your own packages of work, Key aspects of your role will include:

• Procurement of suppliers and sub-subcontractors.
• Ensure robust Cost Control & Budget Management
• Compiling monthly/periodically application for payment information;
• Developing effective working relationships with members of the project management team;
• Identification and valuation of variations;
• Implementation of change control procedures;
• Measurement of work done and administration of site records;
• Preparation and issuance of contractual notices;
• Provide support with financial reporting for projects;
• Understand contract requirements and assist with contractual correspondence;
• Understanding of risk and identifying the implications of actions taken by yourself and the project team;
