Managing Quantity Surveyor in Gretna, Dumfries & Galloway, United Kingdom
Our client is a major rail infrastructure contractor delivering civil engineering schemes for various clients nationwide. As a result of an ongoing project need, we are looking to recruit an established lead quantity surveyor to commercially manage a variety of civils schemes based around the north of England and Scotland's central belt.
The successful applicant will be working on rail civil engineering schemes that incorporate a variety of standard and bespoke contracts, and managing a team of quantity surveyors.
To apply for this position you must meet the following criteria:
- Established managing quantity surveyor with demonstrable experience
- Team Management experience
- You must have significant experience acting as a civil engineering QS - we will not be able to consider CVs without this specific industry experience
- Rail experience is beneficial but not essential - as such the role represents a great opportunity for an established Civils MQS to enter the rail industry
- You must be an autonomous self starter - capable of working independently with minimal instruction
- Experience managing multiple projects concurrently
- Excellent communication skills and client management skills
- Happy to travel around the north of England and Scotland as business dictates.
- Currently fully eligible to work in the UK
