My client is a well-established Nationwide transportation company whose professionalism and well-respected name, have been instrumental in their success. They provide an exceptional service to their customers and are focused on continually improving this.

My client is looking for someone to come onboard and work within the Access and Acquisitions Team within Property Services.

The role:

Working on the acquisition of temporary or permanent land right/consents to support the delivery of maintenance, enhancements and capital delivery works on the railway.

• Stakeholder Management – To deliver a range of professional property services of a complex or substantial nature for a client group including (but not exclusive to) : acquisition, compensation claims, leases, surrenders, lettings, sale and temporary use of operational land. Anticipate and be responsive to the needs of the business in delivering a range of property services
• Operating Environment - Take responsibility for managing negotiations of complex and substantial projects to an agreed budget. Manage property service to maximum efficiency, delivering business objectives in terms of cost savings, income generation, asset management, customer service
• Resource Management – To develop and maintain close and effective working relationships with internal colleagues to enable efficient and effective delivery of the client remit. May look to matrix manage more junior members within the team as required by the project. Instruct and manage external agents and solicitors to complete commercial activity on complex cases.

Important experience

• Surveying experience & land acquisition experience
• MRICS
• Rail – ideal
• Stakeholder experience
