A major contractor in the civil engineering industry are experiencing a continued period of success and remain busy on a range of projects. There is a particular focus on rail, which has created an opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to become a key, permanent member of their team. The role will involve working on all Track projects and Renewals in the north-west (with the position s base in the Crewe area, potentially Manchester). This is a key appointment for the client so they are looking to employ someone on a permanent basis.

The company are the leading organisation in this part of the industry, with this role coming about through promotion of the current incumbent. Working in the commercial team, the main focus of the role is to provide Quantity Surveying services to the organisation for projects in this region.

Skills required include:
- Demonstrable rail background (track renewal experience would be a bonus)
- Appropriate qualification in Quantity Surveying and/or construction engineering
- Proven experience in ensuring income and margin targets are acheived
