Quantity Surveyor in Northampton, Northamptonshire, United Kingdom
Our client, an expanding engineering and construction company is looking for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join their rapidly expanding rail team based in their offices close to Northampton on a permanent staff basis working on a number of key rail framework contracts. The Quantity Surveyor will initially be working on a phase of works which includes a rail overbridge, roads, river re-alignment, river road bridge and general site works.
The Quantity Surveyor will have the following key responsibilities;
Ensuring accurate records are maintained for their projects
Ensuring appropriate sub-contractor agreements are in place across their projects
Producing accurate monthly internal and external cost value reconciliations (CVR) across their projects.
Instigating any dispute resolution, ensuring all claim notices are issued.
Ensuring the prompt settlement of Final Accounts.
Candidates will have the following Qualifications and Experience;
A proven track record of experience in a similar role within the civils/infrastructure/rail sectors of the construction industry, gained preferably from within a main contractor.
NEC3 contract experience with change control knowledge (NEC3 Option E/C experience would be an advantage but not essential).
Have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
Be able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.
Demonstrate a high level of commercial knowledge and understanding.
