Job Title:
Quantity Surveyor, my client would also be interested in hearing from Senior Quantity Surveyor's

London and surrounding areas
Day rate:
£300 - £375 per day
Duration:
6 Month initial contract with a view to extend
Start Date:
Dec 2017 / Jan 2018
Project Information;
Working on a circa £5 billion rail infrastructure projects, which stretches across 40% of the network.
To be suitable for the position you must have;
- 3 years experience in a QS position within rail
- Rail background
- 6 months LU experience
- Compensation Event, notices and quotations experience
- NEC contract knowledge
- Understanding of Signalling projects
- Change control and Variation experience
Although not essential it would also be advantageous if you have;
- Experience using ASITE
- Degree in Quantity Surveying
- Worked for the likes of Thales, Volker Rail, Cleshar, Kelly Rail, LU
- Exposure to railway signalling systems
Role Information;
- Record gathering, raising quotations, Compensation events, Notices
- Feeding records to the client, Changes and variations
- Liasing with the client
- Managing the sub contractors
- Reporting to the Commercial Manager
- Monitoring the costs against tender / contract specifications & agreements
- Ensure the Company's contractual obligations with regard to cost control are met
