Quantity Surveyor in London, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom
I am currently recruiting for a well-rounded Quantity Surveyor to assist my client, a specialist MEICA contractor on a high-profile civil engineering scheme in Herts. The selected candidate must have experience working on a water treatment site/project. This position will be assisting the Commercial Manager and open to a freelance or permanent staff member.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing subcontract enquiries / quotation comparisons and subcontract documents.
- Commercial management of subcontractors, including processing payments once authorised by senior management.
- Cost monitoring of site resources.
- Production of applications for payments in accordance with the conditions of contract.
- Providing commercial advice to the site team by advising and using your teams reports.
- Commercially lead meetings concerning performance on key parts of a project
The successful candidate will offer the following:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Be from a utility / MEICA contractor background
- Experienced and well versed in NEC contracts
- Been involved in Projects in excess of £20m
