We have an exciting new opportunity as a Quantity Surveyor within a company involved in projects within the Rail, Civil and Highway sectors. Based in Horley (next to Gatwick Airport), this will be a minimum of 6 month contract working primarily on highways project.
You will be responsible for attributing costs and preparing the supporting documentation for the application for payment, with extensive understanding of cost management systems and their application within NEC3 contracts.
Successful candidates will have experience of valuing and measuring completed work and progress on highways projects; liaising with clients, including commercial team and project managers; tracking changes to the design and/or construction work and adjusting budget projections accordingly; and detail progress reports and analyse responses for potential commercial risks.
Ideally candidates will have experience of preparing tender documents, contracts and perform risk and value management; supporting commercial elements of contracts including NEC3 contracts; and maintaining an assessment of commercial risks through the duration of the projects of works and tenders.
