About the Company

This tier one contractor operates across the UK’s energy, water and transportation infrastructures. This particular project is a £150million joint venture between them and two other major contractors in the UK where they have been appointed to complete the maintenance and building of over 4000 miles of road between now and 2022.

About the Role

The role of a Senior Quantity Surveyor is to manage all assigned commercial activities within the project lifecycle, seeking to minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money whilst achieving the required standards and quality in accordance with contract and Customer’s and/or General Manager’s expectations. More specifically your focus will be around; Subcontract Management, Supply Chain Enquiries, Early Warnings, Compensation Events & Risk Management.

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience on a similar project
• Relevant degree
• Local
• Solid subcontract management experience
• Working understanding of NEC3 forms of contract

Remuneration

The successful candidate will be rewarded for their hard work and flexibility. This role falls outside of IR35 and is paying up to £400 per day to the right person, based on experience. Also worth noting is the amount of flexibility around working hours involved in the role should you require it. This is all topped off with an opportunity to gain experience with one of the UK’s most well-known companies.
