Quantity Surveyor in Copenhagen, Copenhagen Municipality, Denmark
My client is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to be part of a very well-prepared mega-construction project where "you write history as we build". The position includes i.a. the commercial, legal and administrative contract management of the Tunnel Dredging and Reclamation Contract.
This position is an urgent requirement and ideally, the successful candidate will be able to start at short notice.
The position Working alongside the Tunnel Dredging and Reclamation Senior Contract Manager, you will have a key role in managing the day-to-day administration of the contract. Your key tasks will include: As a Quantity Surveyor, you will - alongside with the Senior Contract Manager - be responsible for the commercial, legal and administrative contract management of the full contract lifecycle.
Your key tasks will be:
- Managing contract claims and variation orders
- Support to the Senior Contract Manager in the day-to-day change and claim management
- Execute the daily contract management activities
- Support the work of the function, in compliance with internal & external mandatory requirements
- Coordinate and report across the project matrix organization and the functional department
Your profile: A dynamic and proactive Contract Manager You have a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Law, Quantity Surveying or similar and 3 to 5 years experience from commercial & contract management on similar complex large-scale international projects.
The ideal candidate will have the following key competencies & qualifications:
- Contractual, risk and change management experience
- Working knowledge and understanding of standard form contracts and international Construction Law (FIDIC and bespoke)
- International experience on Civil Engineering and infrastructure projects, ideally marine works and in public works
- Experience with forensic claims handling, including strategies and analysis
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate contractual requirements and issues clearly to both commercial and non-commercial audiences
- Native, bilingual or full professional proficiency, in English
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated and pro-active with good attention to detail
