A major contractor in the civil engineering industry are experiencing a continued period of success and remain busy on a range of projects. There is a particular focus on rail, which has created an opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to become a key, permanent member of their team. The role will involve working on the most prestigious rail project currently open - HS2. This is a key appointment for the client so they are looking to employ someone on a permanent basis.

Skills required include:
- Demonstrable rail civil engineering background
- Appropriate qualification in Quantity Surveying and/or civil engineering
- Experience of leading and mentoring less senior Commercial staff
- Client facing skills from a main contractor perspective, with first class communications skills
- Experience or demonstrable knowledge of enabling works
